Making a good ad
Simple rules for an ad that people read as they pass: size, contrast, few words and a QR code.
Short answer
People see your ad for a few seconds as they pass. Use one clear message, large text, strong contrast, and art made for the space's size.
Fit the space
- Each space shows its size and the files it takes. Make your art for that size and shape.
- Upload the largest, sharpest file you have. If it is too small for the space, we may enlarge it once the booking is paid, at no extra charge. You can turn this off.
Keep it simple
- One message, in a few words.
- Large text that can be read from across the street.
- Strong contrast: dark on light, or light on dark.
- Your name or logo, and one way to reach you.
A QR code
- Make it large, with a plain border around it, on a light background.
- Point it at a page that works on a phone.
- Scan the printed size on your phone before you book.
Windows, walls and screens
- Windows: light comes from behind, and people may see it from inside too. Keep the edges clear.
- Walls and counters: people stand closer, so a little more detail can work.
- Screens: the space shows its screen size and file type.
